[소셜밸류=박완규 기자] Pharma Robotics, an AI-powered medicine dispensing robotics company secured the top spot by showcasing its automated injection drug dispensing robot at the open IR pitching contest hosted by Seoul Startup Hub.
On April 28, Seoul Startup Hub Scaleup Center hosted an open IR pitching contest to help Seoul-based promising startups secure private investment. Panel of venture capitalists, partners of the Scaleup Center, evaluated around ten promising startups from Seoul Startup Hub branches in Gongdeok, Seongsu, and Dongjak. As Pharma Robotics received high scores at the event, it is given the opportunity to pitch at ‘Try Everything 2026’, scheduled for September 9 to 10.
The robot developed by Pharma Robotics is a smart robot platform that integrates precision actuator control technology with its proprietary injection dispensing algorithm. It ensures a one-stop workflow, from handling hospital electronic prescriptions to the recognition and dispensing of medicine with zero-error accuracy.
In February, Pharma Robotics successfully completed the development of its first-generation automated injection drug dispensing robot prototype. The robot has drawn attention for ensuring practical safety upon hospital deployment, featuring a laminar flow design that utilizes HEPA filters in full compliance with injection drug dispensing guidelines.
Currently, Pharma Robotics is making a full-fledged effort to accelerate the adoption of its advanced technology. This coming July and August, the company sets to conduct large-scale usability testing targeting end-users, including nursing staff and pharmacists at major domestic university hospitals. The goal is to optimize the UI/UX by incorporating direct feedback from these clinical sites.
Yoo Je-cheong, the CEO of Pharma Robotics noted, “Winning the IR contest hosted by Seoul Startup Hub validates our technology’s value and recognizes our genuine commitment to solving critical issues at medical sites. Moving beyond mere numerical achievements, our ultimate goal is to protect healthcare professionals from hazardous environments and ensure patient safety by drastically reducing dispensing errors.
Meanwhile, the company plans to expand its production and research facilities in the Jeonju region, accelerating its market entry strategy for both domestic and international hospital markets.
