[소셜밸류=박완규 기자] With newly secured investment from JCH Investment, Geogrid, based at Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu, is accelerating its global expansion.
On the 22nd, Geogrid announced that it has successfully raised new funding from JHC Investment.
The successful investment was backed by its growth potential in the water industry and technological edge. Raised from the ‘Regional Innovation Fund’ managed by JHC Investment, the funding values Geogrid at KRW 16.5 billion post-money.
BLOS, (Building Oasis System), a building-integrated smart water purification solution provided by Geogrid, is a water purification system directly connected to the building’s water supply pipes.
BLOS keeps the water clean and safe in the building by stabilizing the water supply pipes with low-voltage electrolysis. As it requires neither filter replacement nor chemical treatment, and does not rely on UV sterilization, both users and the environment are the beneficiaries. After all, it reduces contamination in aged pipes and improves water quality without any usage of chemical substances.
It has automated continuous water quality monitoring and management on a building-wide scale, adding AI and big data-based water quality management. As it requires no manual intervention or management from the manager, it stands out from traditional purification systems.
Backed by the investment, Geogrid aims to enhance BLOS technology and accelerate its global expansion. It will expand from the private sectors (B2C and B2B) to public sectors, including government and educational facilities (B2G) and the global market. Under the theme of ‘Every building, an oasis’, it is committed to creating an environment where everyone has access to clean water anytime, anywhere.
Kim Ki-hyun, the CEO of Geogrid, noted, “The newly secured investment validates BLOS technology and its growth potential in the water industry. With a technology which transforms the fundamentals of water in buildings, we will redefine the water experience in daily life.”
Officials from JHC Investment said, “Geogrid has successfully demonstrated new possibilities in the water industry with its proprietary technology, which does not rely on chemical substances and UV sterilization. We expect the company to enter the global market.”
Geogrid laid its global market entry foundation by participating in the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok global expansion program. The global expansion program offers a variety of supporting initiatives in stages, including market research, networking, and funding matching to promising startups. Through this program, Geogrid visited Japan in April (Tokyo and Kobe) and Silicon Valley, North America, in May.
The company received a wide range of supports from the global expansion program, including local market research, market entry consulting, participation in overseas exhibitions, networking and IR pitching with local enterprises and investors, and financial support for commercialization. It has broadened its reach in the global market by participating in major global exhibitions and networking events, such as ‘SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025’ and ‘Tech Beat Shizuoka 2025’.
